About ISSEC 2027

SCOPE · CONVENING · OUTPUT
01 · Scope

A first-of-its-kind gathering

The inaugural Innovative Synergy in Structural Engineering Conference convenes four institutes that have, until now, mostly run in parallel. ISSEC 2027 puts them on one programme.

02 · Convening

Four institutes. One room.

SAICE Structural Division hosts. SAISC, the Concrete Society of Southern Africa and York Timbers (University of Pretoria) co-curate. Each institute brings its own expertise, but the programme is designed to be interdisciplinary from the ground up.

03 · Output

Papers, panels, and floor-time

Two days of presented papers, moderated panels and a working exhibition floor. We're optimising for the conversations that happen between sessions as much as inside them.

“Where collaboration meets innovation — and the future of structural engineering takes shape.”
